A Night on the Town (Open)

OOC: Well, before I join, can someone tell me what is going on?

OOC: Well, Kairi came out of the Mansion, I appeared, Riku and Terra appeared too and we started to talk (and point weapons at me), then we all calmed down, a Twilight Thorn and a Darkside appeared, Mickey showed up and started to help in battle, and we are currently fighting.

Ooc: I took down the twilight thorn, the last one left is a darkside and a few nobodies, up to riku if any small heartless appear

Kairi's eyes widened as the Twilight Thorn went down following Terra's attack, and then the following attacks on the Darkside. So many people, now, were involved, including King Mickey, much to her surprise.

She nodded to Terra, strangely glad that he seemed to view her as something of a comrade in arms. She wondered where Riku had gone in the chaos, but she couldn't go looking for him, not if she wanted to stand on her own feet. "Alright," she said, more calmly than she felt, "let's do this."

She followed Terra's charge forward, preparing to swing her Keyblade at the first one that came into reach. Some scrap of advice murmured in her heart. Flow. Let the moves flow like water. Very well. She would be like water.

Before entering the scene Naethyn the hydrokinetic human, was looking around to see if anything was going on. Recently he was at Sunset Hill watching the Sunset, fell asleep and heard people the next seond and went to check it out. The same people from Destiny Islands. Naethyn summoned his anamorphic cat: Hellfire and made him shift into baby tiger form.

Hellfire looked like it was ready to eat Naethyn and it also appeared to be on fire. Naethyn was dressed differently then when he met Kairi and Riku before. This time he was wearing jean shorts and a white tee shirt that said: When You Have Lemons, Make Lemonmilk. No wait thats wrong...

Naethyn lurked in the bushes near them. He peered out to see if the nobodies were to go away, he was tired and didn't want to fight, but Hellfire saw people and wanted to play. Hellfire snuck out of the bushes and saw Kairi and ran after her as she lunged.

"Hellfire no! Get back here!" Naethyn commanded realizing that people heard him...

Riku leapt clear of the toppling Darkside, the beast's huge form smashing down back into the forest, felling a few trees. Riku strode quickly but calmly over to the beast's head. without a second's hesitation, he plunged his blade hilt-deep into the giant's temple. Riku pulled it free, his eyes alert as he saw a small group of Shadows snuck up on Kairi, who was focused in front of her. Seems her senses weren't refined enough to sense Heartless yet.

Riku dashed across the ground, desperation fueling his speed. A clawed hand reached out, swinging towards Kairi's back. As he closed the distance, Riku didn't even bother trying to stop; instead, he kicked the Heartless with full force, using the recoil to screech to a halt, knee buckling; if he had been going any faster, the bones in his leg would have snapped like toothpicks. With low, guttural squeals, the remaining three Shadows turned and fled, even Heartless having the sense to flee from someone who had kicked one of their fellows into oblivion.

Riku, however, was having none of that. Three volleyball-sized orbs of swirling Darkness formed at the tip of his blade, firing in rapid succession and smashing into the fleeing Heartless, destroying the beasts and dissipating in a dark mist. Riku turned back to Kairi, his face rather rueful; he was going to regret that kick tomorrow. It was the same leg that had recently been injured in their final fight with the Organization, and the wound was still healing, only complicating matters. Riku limped over to her, and put his arm around her shoulders, keeping his leg off the ground; it was still rather shaky, and he didn't feel like falling on his ass in front of all these people.

Kairi's eyes widened as she saw Riku limping as he walked, following his actions in her defense. He was hurt. He was hurt for her.

"Riku!" She held him close for a moment, and then reached her hand out to hover over his leg. After a moment her hand started to glow and give off tiny sparks of light which fluttered over to surround the injury. The two sets of lights grew brighter until they settled inside his leg, healing some of the damage he had taken for her.

She smiled up at him, a touch of humor in her eyes. "At last, something I'm good at. Now, how about we do this together?"

Riku pulled up his pant leg, looking down at the site where he had just been wounded. Disbelief showed on his face; the scar from his old wound was gone, and it felt one hundred percent better. Riku flashed a quick grin at Kairi, still leaning on her shoulders.

"Whoa, thanks, Kairi. Feels a lot better now. See? I told you you'd be good at magic."

Riku leaned in for a quick kiss, but froze, sensing a couple new arrivals. Riku pushed Kairi away, leaping backward at the same time. A large axe swung, pendulum-like, slicing through the air where their heads had been moments earlier. A Grim Reaper, a rather powerful Heartless. Another small portal opened, and another Grim Reaper glided out, blade swinging slowly in counter-rhythm to his fellow's. The pair twirled in a deadly dance, their axes blurring with speed, darting towards Riku. Riku, thinking quickly, dove between the two, the blades meeting with a ring of steel on steel, inches from Riku.

Riku counter-attacked, leaping at one of the Reapers, Way to the Dawn clashing against the beast's axe as it went on the defensive, while the other closed in on his exposed back. Riku was in a lot of trouble, and he knew it; why were Heartless this strong just wandering around?

Kairi was frozen with fear for only a moment before she growled in anger. Attack her Riku, did they? Oh, she was not going to tolerate that. She rushed forward, just barely making it in time to catch the blade going for Riku's back with her own. She didn't stop the blow, though, she redirected it, like water flowing over a rock, pushing the giant blade down as she moved in a great arc.

It was actually getting easier to hear the advice of the shard in her heart. This wasn't so different from dancing, after all, and that was something she understood. Still, matters got a touch too close for her comfort when she had to bend almost completely backwards to narrowly miss being sliced in half. She let the move complete, putting her hands on the ground and straightening by going over herself with a kick for good measure, and the hope that she caught something sensitive with her foot.

"Can we get some help over here?" Kairi was almost frustrated. Where was everyone else?

Terra swung his blade horizontally at the two remaining nobodies, their bodies dissapearing in puff of smoke from the impact. Looking around he notice Riku's return and the appearance of yet two other heartless, Grim Reapers it would seem. Giving himself a small breather, Terra sighed and then began to run towards one of the Reapers, whom after paying such close attention to the others would not be as focused and therefore unable to anticipate Terra's attack. With a powerful charge, Terra lept into the air, swinging his blade with great force to his right, hoping to catch the Reaper on the back.

As he landed, Terra spun and quickly aimed a slice upward, towards the Reaper's back, with that he brought his blade back and held it defensively in case the Reaper decided to counter attack. "Kairi..go help Riku" Terra said, his face now serious with concern as he looked her in the eye from a distance, it seemed he wondered the same thing as Riku, how and why where powerful heartless coming here. Returning his gaze towards the heartless, he awaited any attacks it would be sure to come back with.

...What a time to get lost.


When Riku'd vanquished the Darkside he was on his way to help with. Mickey didn't have any way to find his way back, once the remaining sounds of battle faded.


By the time he'd gotten there, a pair of Grim Reapers had set upon Riku and Kairi. Definitely powerful Heartless, but, without the power of the Aztec Gold, they were simple enough to fight.

...He could feel it. His magic had yet to return. A side-effect of the Data World. ...Not a lot of choice now, he supposed.

Quickly advancing on the Reaper that Terra had first attacked, he leapt, and began a maneuver he'd seen in his travels.


Leap high into the air, holding your sword so that the hilt is above the shoulder. As you fall, drive it into the enemy's back with a downward thrust. As he understood, it was a move known by many name's... "Soldier's Dishonor". "Angel's Judgment". "Planet's Lament" "Prison Gate."

It was one of the most ruthless maneuvers in Mickey's arsenal, and he ated using it. But...

If it was who he thought was summoning these powerful fiends, they needed to be dispatched quickly.

Riku ducked, dodged, and twisted, barely keeping out of reach of the enormous, swinging blade. Riku timed the speed of the incoming swings, and, as the blade came slicing in once more, Riku countered. Jumping, quickly, Riku managed to land on the flat of the swinging blade, gripping the shaft with his free hand. As the blade started its upswing, Riku jumped forward this time, which, seeing as he was vertical, was straight up. Twisting through the air, Riku fell behind the obviously stunned creature, burying his blade into the base of where its spine should connect to the skull.

Riku fired off a dark orb, point-blank, which blasted him clear, while dealing high damage to the Heartless. Most other creatures would have been felled by something like that, but, apparently, this only enraged the Heartless, slowing it down slightly.The beast turned, staring down at Riku as it swung the gigantic axe back and forth, simply toying with it at the moment. Its back was now turned to the others, and Riku desperately hoped someone was coming; this was a strong opponent, and he needed a bit of help.

Kairi was at his side in a moment, now that Terra and King Mickey were dealing with the other one of these creatures. "I'm with you, Riku," she murmured as she brought her keyblade into position in a strangely backwards ready stance.

Instead of the blade being forwards, the empty hand was, and the blade was behind and she stood very nearly sideways instead of facing the Heartless straight on. The stance did, though, leave less of her open as it was the side facing the creature and neither the front nor the back.

She chuckled softly. "She said to be like the water. It seems to be working." When she began her attack, the moves were fluid, arcing, and moved into each other with smooth transitions. First was a downwards arc from an upwards position, then the Keyblade flowed around to the other side where it turned and then made another upwards to downwards arc going the other direction, like a figure eight in the air.

The moves were not the sort that the others used, so maybe the difference would be enough to give them the advantage. Kairi kept up the attack, hoping that Riku would be able to use her distraction to good effect.

Terra smirked at the appearance of Mickey, who had come down at the heartless with a strong lunge. Looking towards the others he noticed Riku's hesitance, and Kairi's rather impressive attack, she did not let up on the heartless who had been caught by surprise. Seeing an opportunity, Terra spun his blade from its handle, as it began to glow bright blue. "Instantaneous Change, Lashing Will" Terra said as the keyblade he held began to stretch, slowly becoming a rather long whip like weapon, its handle intact but with the keyblades teeth at the end of the metallic rope. "Lets see if I can get two birds with one stone.." Terra said as he did a quick spin, bringing the whip like weapon around him with some force as he wrapped it around the heartless he and Mickey fought, securing it and hindering its movements. "Ally..oop" Terra said as he now aimed with the handle down, using most of his force to lift the heartless off the ground and sending him directly towards the other, hoping they would strike each other and give Riku enough time to move, as well as allow Kairi to join them.

Boring... Simply boring...

That Riku kid had just defeated this Darkside, but other two strange creatures suddenly appeared to attack the group of humans while he was not there. It should take care of them for a while, but like he was bored and haven't tested his power yet, he decided to join the battle after watching it for some time. Geez... All this creatures looked too much like the others, all of a black color and yellow eyes. Until now, he had only seen creatures of that kind, and it was not really entertaining. He always prefered the big and strong monsters he had on his army, all of them of different sizes and forms... Such good times...

Until the Warriors of Light came, then all was turned to ruin for him. Well, he will have his revenge some day, but for now he only wanted to have a good battle, using some of his skills to defeat this beasts.

First off, he landed near the group of warriors, with his weapon in hand. He saw how one of the heartless was sent flying towards the other, and he saw that opportunity to strike. He put himself in the middle of the way between the two heartless, pointed at the one that was now flying towards him with the palm of his hand, and a magical sphere was formed and sent towards the head of this monsters. The impact was produced in less than a second, half stopping the creature from going through the airs... Another magical sphere was sent right after the other, hitting again the face of the greature, stopping it from moving again.

The next attack was the final blow... The creature stood up in pain, with it's hands over it's head, trying to decrease what was hurting it in a vain success. Exdeath blade/staff then went flying to it's head, being thrown by the same user, and went through it...

At first, it was only once, but the blade was then stopped in mid-air and returned it's way, going through the head of the creature a second time. And a third, and a fourth... The last blow was then hit, a fifth attack, and the creature fell dead to the floor, without even moving a muscle...

Kairi narrowed her eyes. One of the Grim Reapers was down. One was left. She watched the body fade into mist and vanish.

One thing she knew these creatures were susceptible to.

She reached out her free hand and her fingertips started to glow and a small, blue-lit flame appeared at each one. She brought her fingers together and the flames became a large on that grew in the palm of her hand to about the size of a softball. Then she threw the globe of blue-burning fire at the creature.

The globe splattered against it, blue flames powered by Light quickly giving rise to the orange and red flames of more mundane fires.

She quickly followed this up by calling another globe and throwing it at the creature. It, also, splattered and did damage to this creature of darkness.

She watched the damaged Reaper fall and only when it was gone did she sag in sudden exhaustion. "Can I go home now?"

Riku watched Kairi's performance, his face pale. That had hurt, sitting back and watching her fight. But, it was for her own good. There were enemies far stronger than Grim Reapers still floating around, and she had to get stronger to even stand a chance. Well, this nightmare was over. At least for now. Kairi looked tired; it would probably be best if they headed home. They had both had a long night. A very, very good night, but a long one nonetheless.Riku turned to the odd little group; Terra, Mickey, Exdeath. An old friend, a new friend, and someone to watch out for.

"Well, guys, it's been a long night for me and Kairi, so I'm gonna go ahead and take her home. We're over on Destiny Islands, if you ever wanna stay in touch. Especially you, Terra. I've got some questions about you and that Keyblade of yours."

Riku walked off towards town, where he and Kairi could catch a ride home. Today had ben a long day, and, all things considered, it had been one of the best of his life.

"Shame....."

Bastion stood in a dark corner. He had been watching. He always watched. The scene had almost made him giggle. But they had not had fun. And therefore it was no fun for him.

"Sometimes they just ruin my fun."

In a whisper of wind and his decietful laughter he was gone. Off to do some fiendish work. He would definately have to be around the next time they showed off. It would certainly be a delight. What a change, what a change. Halloween town had its perks but the rest of the worlds had so much more to offer. More people to play with. He would be grinning for weeks.

Naethyn was still hiding in the shadows of the bushes as he saw the fight end. He laughed when he noticed that no one had noticed his pet jump out.

Naethyn stepped out of the bushes revealing his figure along with his animal. "Hellfire, meet Kiari and everyone else." He introduced the cat to the gang of people he met in Destiny Islands.

"Hi! I was in town, I used to live here, I decided to visit the ol' stompin' grounds." He mentioned to try to ease the suspicion he already gained from visiting them in Destiny Islands.
